These times they are a something, something…

(Before the blog begins, I just wanted to say how psyched I am that “The Kids in the Hall” will be back on TV in a new mini-series, but it’s only airing in Canada!!! How do those hosers get all the good stuff!!!! You didn’t come here for Canada bashing though, and besides, Canada is awesome.)

In today’s bloggity blog, I’ll give you the heads up on future vids, and we’ll talk a lil’ wrestling & MMA. Noooooow, click READ MORE!!!…

So no new vid this coming week, but thanks to all my subscribers/viewers for checking out “Tired of Gaga”. I only had one person who was pissed it wasn’t a rant vlog, so that’s good. I kinda wanted one big blowoff vid with all the characters before I start to take things in a bit of a different direction. Don’t worry, all your favorite characters will return down the road, especially Cilantra who might do a baking vid very soon, but I want to start to create new characters. I also want to vlog more, and possibly do a combo vlog/promotion vid. There are a bunch of people who need more views/subs on YouTube, and if they’d like the plug, I aim to give it to ‘em.

So this coming weekend, I’ll be shooting the first in a series of short vids that was inspired by several comments on the last vid. It’s the realization of an idea I’ve had for a while involving a vegetable & a genre of film, but I couldn’t figure out how to make it happen or how to make it funny. Now I think I’ve got the formula. Also, any twitter followers out there will remember me constantly saying “I think I’ve found the perfect idea for a series of shorts!”. This time I mean it…. maybe.

The whole idea behind doing a series of shorter vids comes from my deep, deep love for Kids in the Hall. Such shorts as 30 Second Stories, It’s a Fact, & 30 Helens Agree are so hilarious, and so brief.

On to MMA thoughts, last night’s TUF Finale was definitely entertaining. I am a fan of Kimbo Slice simply because he’s more of a cartoonish character than a fighter to me. I know he’s not the best in the world, but it’s fun to root for a guy with that kind of aura around him. And yes, I do own a Kimbo Slice t-shirt and it is GLORIOUS. I also wasn’t surprised that Roy Nelson took home the TUF trophy. The guy is good, but I don’t think he’s that good. He’ll probably slip into a gatekeeper role at some point because let’s face it, his style is going to come up short against the likes of Velasquez, Nogueira, and Carwin, not to mention Lesnar. It’s good though because the heavyweights in the UFC haven’t had a gatekeeper since Assuerio Silva. (If I spelled that right, I’d be shocked.)

I also found it interesting that Hulk Hogan & Dixie Carter were plugging TNA last night during the show, but I guess that’s more SpikeTV’s doing than anything. Joe Rogan looked like a legit Hogan fan, but he was also trying to hold back the laughter and play “company man” when Hogan went into his usual catchphrase schtick.

I hope TNA finds some success on Monday Night’s if they’re going to continue to air Impact on that day. If anything, competition has always brought the best out of Vince McMahon & WWE, even if Vince doesn’t want to admit there is competition. If people aren’t thrilled with newbies like Sheamus or Legacy, they might flip the channel and catch a glimpse of Samoa Joe or AJ Styles for the first time. I’d take those two over Rhodes & DiBiase any day.

I’ll go more into my thoughts on the potential rekindled Monday Night Wars once Jan. 4th gets a little closer, but it should be a historical night in wrestling history, especially if The Rock is brought in to host RAW.

That wraps up the bloggity blog. My week long vacation from work is over and it’s back to the daily grind tomorrow. It’s not really a grind though. My job is pretty sWEEET. Plus I’ll have another week off at the end of the month. 6 Weeks off a year!! Whole company!!! Oh yeah!!!
